I have a couple copies of the graphic novel The Gadarene to give away. A little bird told me it's going to be officially released this weekend at the Desiring God National Convention. I think it was a LaParra-keet.

The contest is going to run until this Thursday, September 30th at 5:00 p.m. CST. I'll send out a signed copy (by me unfortunately, not John Piper) Friday morning, assuring you that you are the first of your friends to have one.

All you have to do is comment below. That's right, just comment. Doesn't have to be anything profound, just say something like, "sign me up." And be sure to enter your email in the comment form. That way I can get in touch with you if you win.

This is like a prayer being answered... the nerd side that exists in a lot of us pastors is finally rising to the surface!! What a great medium to give to our kids... modern day catechisms anyone? I'd love to see a Christian graphic novel among the growing assortment at our public library. (And I wish parents would take a closer look at some of the graphic novels their tweens are taking home----many of the "young adult" labelled ones are inappropriate for ANY age.)

Graphic novels are a medium that works for my boys, but I haven't always been happy with the content. I'm glad to know there's another good book to choose from for my boys.

This sounds like a very interesting and intriguing publication! I'm sure that coming from John Piper it will be better than other attempts I've seen in this medium in the 'Christian' marketplace.
